I got to do the concept for Spirit Blossom Yasuo! Huge thanks to the team for bringing this skin to life. It was amazing seeing everything come together, from the modeling and rigging to animation, vfx, and sound. A challenge for sure, but the results are incredibly cool! Please check out all the other skins for this theme too, everyone went out of their way to make the skins feel really special. I hope you enjoy them!

Ingame concept renders! Included how the sword would look sheathed and unsheathed. The sheath is like tree branches winding together as it wraps around the blade.

Ortho view! Trying to include as many details for the 3d modeler (looking back, I should have included a version of the sheath where it didn't have the blade)

Early exploration for his skin. Since it was early on, I wanted to try out various directions to see what worked for Yasuo. Looking at these, we went with a blend of C and D, followed by many focused iterations to nail down the final design.

Recall and model prop concepts! For the recall tree, the shape and size of the tree is difficult to describe by word alone so I painted over screenshots with the model to show the possible scale and angle.

Vfx exploration. For this skinline, we wanted a more stylized graphic direction including patterns and shapes that flow like paintings and print, as if the art lifted off of paper and can now soar into the air as magic (hope that makes sense!)
